The Law supplements the Criminal Code of Ukraine with Article 1501, pursuant to which, "exploitation of an under-aged child for begging (systematic soliciting of money, things, other material valuables out of the strangers) for the purpose of profit by the parents or substituting persons is punished by the confinement for up to 3 years or imprisonment for the same period".
It is also envisaged that "similar actions taken with regard to the an under-aged child of somebody else, or connected with the violence or threat, as well as committed repeatedly or by person who committed one of the crimes envisaged by Articles 150, 303, 304 of the Code, or with a preliminary plot by a group of persons, is punished by confinement for up to five years, or imprisonment for three-eight years".
A relevant Bill was registered at The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine by Reg. No. 0981.
